Q: What do I need to know about my prescription before I order?

A: Before you order, please check to make sure your Rx:

• Is written by a licensed optometrist
• Has not expired
• Is for glasses, and not contacts
• As a licensed and board certified optometric business we fill prescriptions for bifocal, progressive, single vision, and reading glasses.
• Includes your pupillary distance (PD). Your PD is the distance in millimeters between your pupils, and helps us center your prescription correctly in your frames. If your prescription doesn’t include this measurement, you have a few options:
• You can stop by any of our retail stores where our trained associates can measure your PD.
• If neither of those options works, you can get your PD measured at a local optical shop. 

Q:How do I obtain a prescription?

A:There are two ways you can get a prescription:

1. At our retail stores, we can use a lensometer and take your prescription from your current eye glasses and obtain other measurements onsite.
2. Make an appointment with your local optometrist, or find an available doctor through ZocDoc. Ask your doctor to include your pupillary distance (PD) on your prescription. 

Q:How do I know whether or not you can fill my prescription?

A:Prescription Eyeglasses

Sphere (SPH): We can fill prescriptions with a SPH value stronger than -10.00 or +6.00. We're happy to help you figure out the best lens for you based on your prescription strength. Give us a call at 877- 553-3317, Mon-Fri, 9:30am-5pm ET. If you do not have astigmatism, the SPH will be the only value on your prescription (no CYL or Axis). 

Cylinder (CYL): If you have astigmatism in either eye, you will have a CYL value in your prescription. We can fill prescriptions with a CYL value stronger than ±4.00. We're happy to help you figure out the best lens for you based on your prescription strength. Give us a call at 877- 553-3317, Mon-Fri, 9:30am-5pm ET.

While the above SPH and CYL values are at the extreme ends of our range, our ability to fill your prescription depends on your specific combination of SPH and CYL values. If your SPH is stronger than -8.00 in either eye and you also have a CYL value, please give us a call at 877- 553-3317, Mon-Fri, 9:30am-5pm ET. Prescription Sunglasses
For sunglasses orders, we can fill prescriptions with a combined SPH and CYL value up to -7.00. However, some of our smaller sunglasses frames can accommodate slightly stronger prescriptions.
