The Spinto Band

www.thespintoband.com

The Spinto Band relishes in the idea of self-sustenance, very much being a DIY band.  The title for Shy Pursuit appears ironic, since it seems that this should be their most unbridled.  This, their third LP, was done completely on their own terms, which gave The Spinto Band the ability to make the record as they wanted it to sound.  Keep up with them in the next couple months, for they will be heading out on tour, as well as dropping some fun YouTube treats, as well as an iPod app/game related to the album.  Shy Pursuitwill be available May 1 on Spintonic Recordings.

Like all families, Kopecky Family Band beats with the same heart and writes in the same blood. ‘The Family’ began creating music together in Nashville, Tennessee in the Fall of 2007. What began as late night talks about life and dreams gradually flowed into eccentric and beautiful music that has led to numerous tours, including adventures to CMJ, SXSW and Bonnaroo, three EP releases and friendships across the country. X Ambassadors

Brotherhood - that's what defines Brooklyn's Ambassadors, whose album Litost was just released digitally this January. Though the band officially started in 2006, three of the members, Sam Harris, his brother Casey Harris and middle school friend Noah Feldshuh had been playing together for years.  Ambassadors started as a college band. Sam, Adam and Noah were all attending the New School while Casey worked as a piano tuner. It wasn’t until 2010 that they were able to completely commit full time to the band, with Noah on lead guitar, Sam on vocals and back up guitar, Casey on keyboard and Adam on drums. The Jane Doze

thejanedoze.com/

Former mild-mannered music biz employees by day and kickass electronic dance music DJs by night, New York-based DJ/production duo Jen Mozenter and Claire Schlissel ditched their desk jobs for the decks. So far? Seems to have been the right choice. In the two and a half years they’ve been spinning tunes, The Jane Doze have garnered a couple of million YouTube views and Soundcloud plays, and countless artistic endorsements. They’ve shared stages with Calvin Harris and Diplo, playing from New York City to the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas.

As the duo’s fan base and digital footprint grow exponentially, the pair continues to make a mark on the live music scene. So put your antlers up, it’s go time!

The seeds of The Orchard were sown over the course of a couple of years, and harvested when guitarist Milo Bonacci compiled every stray idea and demo the band had accumulated since releasing their breakthrough album, The Rhumb Line. After assembling all those loose threads, the band took residence at the titular peach
orchard in Penn Yan, New York and embarked upon mammoth writing sessions punctuated by new adventures in cooking, playing bocce, and simply enjoying the benefits of country living.  (Photo Credit - Shervin Lainez)

Pearl and the Beard

Former strangers Jocelyn Mackenzie, Emily Hope Price, and Jeremy Styles were united in the great city of New York. Each had migrated there from a far corner of the nation with naught but food in their pockets and money in their bellies. Each had the same true love. Since then, the three have nested, and their unique brand of brightly melodic songcraft continues to blossom of its own accord.  (Photo Credit - Shervin Lainez)
